On September 28, 2025, Bad Bunny was announced to perform at the Superbowl halftime show. Soon after in October, Turning Point USA announced they would be hosting their own halftime show for those that wanted it.
Turning Point USA, a non profit organization started by Charlie Kirk, is hosting their own halftime show to celebrate “faith, family, and freedom” to quote from their website. This came after the announcement of Bub Bunny, a Puerto rican celebrity known for speaking out against the Trump administration (mostly ICE), sparked outrage amongst conservatives.
Recently Turning Point has dropped a list of people performing. The list includes headliner Kid Rock, Brantley Gillebert, Lee Brice, Gabby Barrett. The recording of this performance will not be a concert like traditional superbowl performances in the past. They are live streaming it to many channels such as Trinity Broadcasting Network, The Daily Wire+, Real America’s Voice, OAN News, The National News desk, NTD.com, CHARGE!, and also live streamed on Youtube and X (Twitter).
In comparison to the Superbowl halftime show, CBS reported that the TPUSA show had 19.6 million views on Youtube, while Bad Bunny’s show had 135 million views. The show is now the most watched halftime performance of all time.
