Now if you have seen the Superbowl you knew that there were going to many teasers of movies coming this year which one of them being the long awaited Deadpool 3 or as they call it: Deadpool and Wolverine.Now with this teaser there has been so much hype around it since the Deadpool series is a series many enjoy and also many people online have been saying “this movie will save the MCU”.
If you don’t know what this means well it means that the recent marvel movies have not been good and that Deadpool 3 will help it return to its glory of a franchise making Blockbuster movie hits. Since I am a marvel fan myself who has watched Marvel productions and read comics I do agree Marvel has been slacking. For example, I recently saw the new movie Madame Web which is about a girl having the ability to see into the future and needing to stop the threat of trying to attack her.
This movie was directed by the people who made Morbious, which was another horrible movie, and with Madame Web this movie was just such a waste of time to watch with wasted talent and I would rather watch Morbious than Madame Web.
It is sad to see to since Sony had a major control over the Spider-Man stuff and with their Sony Marvel universe its not looking good. How did we go from Spider-Man across the Spiderverse to Madame Web a move that was just bland and uninteresting?
These flops are also not just for Sony’s Marvel universe its also for the main MCU with movies such as The Marvels and Ant-man and the Wasp Quantumania which were both poorly received films.
Except for the only two recent main marvel cinematic projects being Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and the Loki series which are really good projects especially Loki. If these continuous flops keep happening then this could lead to them doing what DC is doing right now which is rebooting their whole universe since every recent movie has been bad and poor received except blue beetle.
Which I really hope they shouldn’t have to do this but its important to mainly avoid this they should try to listen to the fans more and get rid of unwanted projects no one asked for while also focusing on quality over quantity.
I feel like with this strategy is good since its been what the fans wanted and they go back to the studio they were originally known for and that would be making some of the best superhero movies.Another note to add is that other comic book movies and shows have been doing better than marvel and DC.
For example, take the show invincible and the boys these are both amazon streaming shows that many people love because the creators listen to their fans and want to make the most accurate depiction of the characters,they were able to do this successfully which got many people to love the shows and add many new fans who want to know more about the franchise. Another comic book character I want to use is Spawn, which is a anti-hero in his comics,I personally think he is a underrated character who should be used in more projects and if you don’t know him then you might have seen him in the games Mortal Kombat 11 and call of duty.
But many fans of this character want to see him beyond the games and want a movie of this person,even the official voice actor for spawn Keith David said this¨Spawn is one of my favorite characters I have voiced and I would love to be apart of a spawn movie¨.But knowing companies they wouldn’t want that to happen and would just want movies they can make a quick buck on without considering the fans ideas.
Luckily with recent media of the idea of superhero movies we can tell that now they are in good hands.Actor Ryan Reynolds is known as a amazing actor and he is putting his ideas into Deadpool 3 like he’s done with all his other films and ever since we saw that trailer we can tell Deadpool 3 is in good hands.
We can also say this about the DC since for the past recent years fans are tired of idea of superman being evil and want to go back to what the S on superman’s chance stand for which is someone who lives on hope and justice which is what James Gun’s new Superman movie is going to be about.He wants this his movie Superman Legacy to be the restart of a new DC universe and actually give what fans want.I have faith for the future of Marvel and DC,I just hope they will listen to their fans.
