The Ewing high School girls’ Tennis closes out its 2018 Season

The Ewing high school girls’ tennis team held its last practice Wednesday, October 23, 2018 with team bonding on the courts. Afterward, the girls shared the letters and gifts they had prepared for sister’s day. This an annual celebration that usually happens toward the end of the season, where the girls show their appreciation for each other.
Coach Mosteller being proud of how far the girls have come says, “When I look across the courts and see all of my children smiling and enjoying themselves it makes all the organization and planning of 50 plus girls worth it”
Although the season started out slow, with the courts being washed for almost three weeks and the rain that came afterward, the girls attended practice whenever possible.
While the courts were being washed, the team held practice at a park and attended home matches at other schools.
When it comes to the best part about competing with other schools, Coach Canzanella says, “The best compliment that a Coach can get is from another coach saying how respectful and fun to play our team is”.
Throughout the inconveniences the coaches remained positive and focused on that truly matters to the team; tennis.
When the team finally got its courts back and the rain ceased, practiced continued as usual.
Although this season was rocky, it came to a smooth and fun end.
